A group of islands north-east of Sardinia
The La Maddalena archipelago is a group of islands north-east of Sardinia, off the coast of Gallura. Among the most important, La Maddalena, Caprera, Santo Stefano, Budelli, Santa Maria, Razzoli, Spargi, as well as other smaller ones such as the islets of Roma, Cardellino and Cala Lunga. There are 62 of them, including islands and islets, for a total of 180 km of coastline. The only inhabited islands are La Maddalena and Caprera.
